PACU/Pre Op/ Phase 2 Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled PACU/Pre Op/Phase 2 Registered Nurse to join our team. This position involves providing exceptional care to patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Preoperative area, and Phase 2 recovery, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the surgical experience.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 4×12-hour shifts
• Shifts available: 07:00 – 19:30 and 11:00 – 23:30

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the PACU and Pre Op areas, ensuring optimal recovery and safety.
• Monitor patient vital signs, manage pain, and address any complications that may arise post-surgery.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to implement and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on postoperative care and recovery plans.
• Float between the main hospital and the Day Surgery Center as needed to meet facility requirements.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in PACU or similar surgical settings.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS required.
• Experience using Epic (Excellian) for patient charting.
• Ability to adapt to the operational needs of the facility, including floating across units.
• Willingness to work weekends as needed based on unit demands.

• Parking options: Validation available for first day; subsequent parking fees apply based on shift schedule.
• Guaranteed hours subject to cancellation policy; candidate may experience shift cancellations without penalty on the part of the employer.
• We welcome first-time candidates in addition to experienced registered nurses.
• Requests for time off (RTO) should not exceed five days.
