Radiologic Technologist

Position Overview

The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures and ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during these processes. This role requires proficiency in various radiographic techniques and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures on patients.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
• Maintain and operate radiographic equipment effectively.
• Prepare the imaging room and necessary equipment for procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals on patient care.
• Document patient information and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in radiologic technology.
• Active state license in radiologic technology.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ARRT (R) certification is required.

Health and Safety Requirements

• Completion of MMR vaccination documentation.
• Fit test for respiratory protection.
• Hepatitis B vaccination or waiver documentation.
• Influenza vaccination documentation.
• TB test results and annual TB questionnaire.
• Documentation of Varicella vaccination.
• Tdap vaccination documentation.

Professional Documentation

• Driver’s license or state identification required.
• Two professional references.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Completion of education and employment verification.

Working Conditions

This position involves a rotating shift schedule and requires the ability to work 40 hours per week. Interested candidates should be prepared to demonstrate competence in the application of radiologic technology in a clinical setting.
