ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated ICU Registered Nurse to join our team in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiovascular care and be committed to providing high-quality patient care.

Certifications Required

• ACLS
• BLS Certification
• NIHSS
• PALS Preferred

Shift Information

The position requires 12-hour shifts during the day with every other weekend commitment. Employees must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays. Initial shifts will include floating to telemetry or medical-surgical units.

Orientation and Training

New hires will undergo a 1-day unit-specific orientation. All telemetry, labor and delivery, emergency, and critical care RNs will take a proctored Dysrhythmia Test on their first day, which is a PASS/FAIL evaluation.

Patient Care Responsibilities

The nurse will provide care to patients with a range of common diagnoses, with a focus on fresh open heart surgeries and mixed ICU patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:1-2, 90% of the time maintaining a 1:2 ratio.

Additional Information

Scrub color is navy. Schedules are self-scheduled and finalized by the manager approximately 6 weeks in advance. Candidates must have recent experience with fresh open heart surgeries and mixed ICU patients.
