Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical/Surgical unit. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care within a collaborative environment while managing a diverse patient population.

Unit Details

• Number of Beds: 19
• Patient Ratios: 1:5
• Patient Population: Primarily geriatric and adult, with limited pediatric patients
• Equipment Used: Welch Allyn vital machines, masimno, telemetry, and ARJO lift devices
• EHR System: Medhost – Clinical Experience

Position Information

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Department: Medical/Surgical
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirements: Rotate every other weekend
• Call Requirements: Yes, based on census and staffing needs
• Float Requirements: May float to medical detox, ICU, OB, or ER as needed

Qualifications

• Experience: 1-2 years in a Medical/Surgical setting preferred
• Required Certifications:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Education: Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Background Check: Must pass the Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start date

Additional Notes

• Unit Secretary/Monitor Tech stationed at the Medical/Surgical nurses station
• Professional demeanor and commitment to patient care are essential
