Acute Care Float Pool

Job Description

We are seeking qualified professionals to join our Acute Care Float Pool. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of providing exceptional care across multiple units, including medical, surgical, medical tele, surgical tele, infusion, ortho, and neurosurgery.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
• Float between different units as needed within the scope of practice.
• Collaborate with inter-professional teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting all relevant information accurately using electronic systems.
• Comply with all hospital policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care nursing is required.
• BLS certification is required; CPI certification is preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, specifically every other weekend.
• Must be open to floating within the hospital based on unit needs.
• Local candidates are welcome; however, pending licenses will not be accepted.
• Ability to manage scheduling preferences with a maximum of one week of restricted time off.

Additional Information

This role does not require participation in an on-call rotation and guarantees hours with a possibility of being called off during low census periods.

Work Environment

Charting is completed through the EPIC system. Scrubs are provided for OR personnel, with flexibility allowed for other staff scrub colors.
