Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Intermediate Care Unit. The ideal candidate will possess a current Illinois License, along with certification in CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS. A graduate of an accredited nursing program is required, and education verification will be performed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, hospital policies, and state laws/practice acts.
• Document care according to established standards.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians and hospital policy, including patient and family education.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise to support other units and departments in alignment with the patient’s longitudinal care plan.
• Apply critical thinking skills concerning patient safety and experience, escalating issues appropriately to the chain of command.
