Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse for a dynamic Operating Room environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in trauma and neuro surgery within a Level 1 Trauma Center.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in surgical procedures as a circulating nurse.
• Maintain high standards of patient care and safety during operations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in the oversight and management of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required; 3-4 years preferred.
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center and neuro surgery is mandatory.
• BLS certification required.
• Circulation skills in an Operating Room setting are essential.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, is expected.

Additional Information:

• Start date: ASAP
• Contract duration: 13 weeks
• Shift details: Mids, 4x10s with variable start times between 0845 and 1045.
• Expected case volume: 60-70 cases.
• Unit is a 25-bed Level 1 Trauma Center with a focus on orthopedics, spine, and neuro cases.
• No cardiac or transplant surgeries will be performed in this unit.
• Hospital provides scrubs and utilizes Epic for charting.
• Daily parking costs apply; offsite parking options are available with shuttle service.

Holiday RTO Restrictions:

• Travelers may request time off for 1 of 3 major holidays.
• 3 additional non-holiday days off permitted outside specified blackout dates.
• Preference for availability to work on Christmas.
