Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary:

The competent Nurse practices independently in a clinical setting, demonstrating awareness of relevant aspects of patient care. This role involves providing both routine and complex care, focusing on long-term goals and managing contingencies effectively. The Nurse is responsible for making appropriate assignments and delegating tasks to other care providers to manage clinical situations efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Meet the expectations of the applicable competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families according to the level of practice.
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols; monitor for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identify relevant issues and resources.

Job Requirements:

Education & Skills

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing is preferred.

Experience

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty is preferred.

Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications

• BLS certification via AHA is required.
• RN License in the state of employment or compact is required.

Work Schedule:

This position operates during day shifts from 7 AM to 3 PM.
