Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for maternal and newborn care, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor and delivery.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to any changes in status.
• Assist with labor management and delivery procedures.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP.
• Proficient in IV starts and related skills.
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records is required.
• Must be willing to float to different units as needed.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.

Scheduling and Shift Details

This position requires night shifts of 3 12-hour shifts weekly, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
