Registered Nurse (RN) – Med-Surg

Position Information

This is a full-time Registered Nurse position in the Med-Surg specialty, offering 12-hour night shifts. The role requires a commitment to 36 guaranteed hours weekly, including two weekend shifts within each two-week pay period.

Unit Profile

• Number of Beds: 16 private rooms
• Patient Ratios: 1:4 with accommodations for 1:3 in high acuity situations

Key Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

• Monitoring and assessing patient conditions, including EKG and cardiac monitoring.
• Providing respiratory assessment and support.
• Administering medication titration as needed.
• Collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Floating to different units as required.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar nursing role
• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications, with training in rhythm interpretation.

Preferred Skills/Experience

• Experience with common diagnoses such as ETOH detox, post-PCI recovery, DKA/HHS, cardiac conditions, GI issues, and BIPAP support.
