Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. This position requires a strong background in providing care in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in labor, post-partum, couplet care, and triage.
• Execute care plans and assist in all aspects of labor and delivery.
• Monitor mother and baby during and after delivery to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and patient families.
• Participate in delivering approximately 80 babies per month.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience with postpartum care, couplet care, and circulating for cesarean sections is essential.
• Travel experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Monitoring certifications required.
• Candidates must be licensed in the state of employment or initiate the application process shortly after acceptance.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to float to all departments as necessary.
• Availability for 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.
• Willingness to meet holiday requirements as per unit needs.

Work Environment

The role is set within a 17-bed Labor and Delivery unit, providing an opportunity to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Compensation and Benefits

Free housing is provided for one occupant. Please note that pet accommodations are not available. A maximum of 14 days off may be requested, including a maximum of 4 weekend shifts. All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application.
