Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in implementing patient treatment plans and therapy interventions.
• Administer therapy procedures and treatments as directed by the supervising physical therapist.
• Monitor patient progress and report changes to the physical therapist.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.

Work Schedule

This position involves working Monday through Friday during day shifts, with occasional shifts on every fourth weekend.

Qualifications and Experience

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient experience in rehabilitation, acute care, or skilled nursing facilities.
• Experience with EMR systems is preferred; knowledge of Cerner and Epic is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and provide high-quality patient care.

Dress Code

Light gray scrubs are required for this position.

Additional Information

In the event of staffing needs, candidates may be required to float to other units, including medical-surgical and acute care settings.
