Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room (ER)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency care and demonstrate essential clinical skills to provide high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide care for adult patients, including those with STEMI, stroke, and Level 2 trauma.
• Manage patient triage and telemetry, ensuring timely and accurate assessments.
• Administer conscious sedation and perform IV starts.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Contract Details

• Contract Length: Accepting 20+ week contracts through February 27, 2027.
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
• No call or float requirement.

Patient Ratios

• Non-Critical: 3:1 (4:1 during higher demand with an increased number of patients in hallways).
• Critical Patients: 2:1.
• Medical Borders in ED: 5:1.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Certifications: TNCC, ACLS, NIH, MOAB, and BLS are mandatory.
• Skills: IV Start, Triage, Telemetry, and Conscious Sedation are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• ENPC certification preferred.
• Experience in trauma care is an advantage.

Orientation and Training

An orientation period of 36 to 48 hours will be provided to ensure smooth integration into the unit.

Scrubs

Uniforms are to be navy blue.
