Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team providing care in a long-term care and skilled nursing facility. This position offers the opportunity to work with the geriatric population, including individuals with various mental health conditions.

Shift Details

• Shift Length: 8 or 12 hours
• Primary Shift Times: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM and 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend
• Holiday Coverage: Every other holiday

Position Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role
• BLS Certification required

Work Environment

• Facility has 55 beds with a focus on providing exceptional care to the elder population, including those with dementia and other behavioral issues.
• Staff-to-patient ratio: Approximately 1:9 during the day, 1:12 during the evening, and 1:23 overnight shifts.
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system used: PCC

Orientation and Training

Newly hired CNAs will receive comprehensive orientation, including training, facility tours, and competencies. There will also be an opportunity to shadow experienced staff for 1-2 shifts.

Additional Information

• This is a 13-week assignment with guaranteed hours.
• Overtime is available.
