Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room (ER) team on night shifts. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Nights
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend required

Unit Information

• Emergency Room (Emergency Services)
• Trauma Level: III
• Average Daily Patient Volume: 70
• Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:3-4 (depending on acuity)
• Common Patient Diagnoses: Pediatrics, cardiac cases (STEMI), strokes, trauma, and general ER cases (e.g., abdominal pain, respiratory issues)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the ER setting.
• Perform triage duties as needed.
• Administer medication and monitor patient responses.
• Assist with critical care procedures as necessary.
• Collaborate with medical staff, including physicians and mid-level providers.
• Participate in the orientation and training of new staff, as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience, preferably in an emergency or critical care setting.
• Valid RN license in the state of practice.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC.
• Advanced Dysrhythmia certification required (must pass with 83% or higher before contract signing).

• Travelers are welcomed and encouraged to extend their contracts.
• Call-outs are discouraged and may lead to termination.
• Security is available on-site 24/7.
• Orientation will be provided based on experience (1-3 shifts).
