Physical Therapist

Job Summary: Plans and conducts treatment programs aimed at restoring and improving physical, social, and mental functions while meeting departmental objectives. Serves as a co-leader in an interdisciplinary approach to patient groups.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree: Required if licensure obtained on or after January 2016; or foreign equivalent.
• Two years of Physical Therapy experience: Preferred.

Licenses/Certifications:

• Physical Therapy licensure in the state of practice: Required.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per policy: Required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required.

Essential Functions:

• Completes evaluations to ensure quality standards and addresses areas requiring attention.
• Utilizes appropriate clinical techniques and tools while establishing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Administers therapy interventions following suitable treatment protocols and techniques.
• Develops individualized care and discharge plans, ensuring they are communicated to relevant parties.
• Completes comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines.
• Supervises assigned assistants.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
