Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse to join our team for night shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a medical-surgical telemetry unit.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and ECG readings.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient assessments and care in the electronic health record.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health management and discharge planning.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of recent, permanent Med/Surg Tele nursing experience.
• MUST possess a valid Ohio RN license or a compact state license.
• AHA or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Recent Epic charting experience within the last 6 months is mandatory.
• Ability to work every other holiday is required.
• Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation, achieving acceptable scores.
• One recent reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required.

Work Schedule

Position involves working three 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
