Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Assignment Details

The Cardiac Cath Lab operates with advanced technology to perform minimally invasive cardiac procedures, offering a comprehensive Electrophysiology (EP) program.

• Schedule: 5×8 and 4×10 shifts with varying times between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM
• Call Requirements: Rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call required
• Cross-Department Support: Candidates may be assigned to assist in other Cardiovascular departments, including:
• Cardiac Cath Lab
• Electrophysiology (EP)
• Cath Holding

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent experience in a Cath Lab setting
• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program leading to a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist registry
• ARRT candidates will not be considered

Required Certifications

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• One of the following credentials:
• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
• RCVT (Registered Cardiovascular Technologist)
• RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)

Call Expectations

• This position is scheduled for 40 hours per week.
• Most shifts are approximately 8 hours, but some days may exceed this based on procedural volume.
• Overtime may be required.
• Call rotation among Cath Lab staff is required, averaging around 12 call days per month, including weekends.
• Travelers must be willing to cover holiday call.
