Cardiac Cath Lab Tech

Assignment Details

The Cardiac Cath Lab performs minimally invasive cardiac procedures and offers a full-service Electrophysiology (EP) program. Candidates may be assigned to support various Cardiovascular departments, including:

• Cardiac Cath Lab
• Electrophysiology (EP)
• Cath Holding

Schedule

The position includes various shifts with schedules of 5×8 or 4×10 hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Rotating weekday, weekend, and holiday call is required.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Cath Lab experience
• Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program leading toward Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist registry
• ARRT candidates will not be considered

Required Certifications

• BLS
• ACLS
• One of the following current credentials:
  • RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
  • RCVT (Registered Cardiovascular Technologist)
  • RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist)

Call Expectations

The position is scheduled for 40 hours per week. While most shifts are approximately 8 hours, some days may extend beyond 8 hours based on procedural volume. Overtime should be expected. Call rotates among all Cath Lab staff and averages approximately 12 call days per month, including weekends. Travelers must be willing to cover holiday call.
