Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This position is for a Registered Nurse with special focus in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The role requires strong expertise in critical care nursing, with particular emphasis on pediatric patients. Travel nursing experience will be considered, however, a minimum of two years of relevant work experience in PICU is required.

Contract Details

• Contract Duration: 48 hours
• Shift: Night shift, 3×12-hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00)
• Work Environment: Floating may be required to other units, including the Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU) as necessary.
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in PICU with exposure to CICU.
• Requires Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
• Travelers must be fully vaccinated, and no exceptions will be made.

Work Schedule and Availability

• Blocked schedules are available if the traveler is willing to work all weekends.
• Requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted upon application. Maximum of 5 days can be requested.
• Every Other Weekend (EOW) commitment is required.
• Travelers are expected to work a minimum of 2 holidays during their contract.

Additional Information

• Valid compact nursing licenses are accepted.
• Travelers within 50 miles of the area will be classified as local, with associated local rates applying.
• Former employees of the organization are not eligible for contract positions within one year of their termination date.
