Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to patients during labor and delivery, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mothers and newborns. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient care in a high-risk environment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of recent full-time equivalent experience within the last three years.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the state where care is provided.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related field.
• Five (5) or more years of recent experience in Labor and Delivery, with at least one (1) year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last two (2) years.
• Experience in High-Risk Obstetrics (OB) preferred.

Key Responsibilities

As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Monitoring the health and vital signs of patients during labor.
• Assisting in labor progression and delivery processes.
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Providing education and support to patients and their families before, during, and after delivery.
• Participating in emergency situations and assisting with resuscitation as necessary.
