Sonography Technologist

The Sonography Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality imaging in the field of echocardiography, including vascular exams. This role involves utilizing advanced technology and equipment to assist in diagnosing patient conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct echocardiograms, stress echoes, transesophageal echoes (TEEs), and vascular exams including carotid, venous, and arterial assessments (upper and lower extremities).
• Work collaboratively with the cardiology team to interpret results and assist in patient management.
• Maintain a high volume of daily scans, averaging 25-30 per day.
• Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Picture Archive & Communication System (PACS) for documentation and imaging management.
• Participate in department-specific orientation and training.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in sonography, with a focus on vascular imaging.
• Required certifications: BLS Certification, Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS), and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) via ARDMS.
• Experience with echocardiography and vascular technology is essential.
• Proficiency in operating Philips ultrasound equipment.

Work Schedule:

• Regular shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Available for call approximately once per week, with a commitment to work every 5-6th weekend and one holiday call per year.
• No requirement to float or cover other areas within the organization.

Additional Information:

• Work environment includes a department equipped with 4 scanning rooms.
• Scrubs in purple are required; scrubs are not provided.
• Collaborate with in-house cardiologists for patient evaluations.
