Cardiac Catheterization Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Catheterization Technologist for a contract position. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in the Coronary Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures.
• Coordinate with physicians and nursing staff to optimize patient flow.
• Stay until all cases are completed, demonstrating flexibility in work hours.
• Participate in the preparation and maintenance of equipment.

Work Schedule

This position involves 10-hour shifts, four days per week. Candidates should be prepared for variability in shift length, with some days potentially requiring up to 11 hours based on case completion.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a busy Cath Lab environment.
• Proficient in performing Coronary Catheterizations, Electrophysiology (EP) cases, and Coronary Ablation procedures.
• Experience in Structural Heart cases, such as TAVR or Watchman, is preferred.
• Current RCIS certification is required.

Floating and Coverage

Candidates must be willing to float between multiple locations, specifically between Gulfport and Biloxi.

Weekend and Holiday Requirements

Candidates should expect to work every third weekend and be available for one major and one minor holiday during the contract period.

Additional Requirements

All staff must complete fingerprinting through the MS SAFER system prior to starting. Candidates are advised to complete this process promptly to avoid delays in the start date.
