Primary Care Medical Assistant (MA-C)

Overview

This is a TEMP TO HIRE opportunity for a Primary Care Medical Assistant (MA-C) in the Issaquah, WA area. Local candidates are preferred as this position requires a permanent commitment after the initial contract period.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM (1-hour lunch)
• Years of Experience Required: At least 6 months in an Adult Outpatient Clinic; experience in Pediatric Outpatient or Private Physician’s Office may be considered.
• Weekend Requirement: No
• Certifications Required: BLS
• Floating Requirement: No
• Local Candidates: Must reside within a 50-mile radius
• Pending License: Must have MA-C certification
• Guarantee Hours: The facility may call off a traveler for up to 1 shift per pay period.

Special Notes

Candidates are expected to have reliable transportation and no additional scheduling restrictions. All candidates must have their own means of transport; public transportation is not accepted.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist healthcare professionals in delivering quality patient care.
• Perform clinical tasks including vital sign measurements, administering injections, and collecting lab samples.
• Maintain accurate patient records and charting using EPIC.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Provide support to patients and their families regarding care plans and clinic policies.

Qualifications

• Must possess current MA-C certification.
• At least 6 months of experience working as a Medical Assistant in an Adult Outpatient setting.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to patient care.
• Experience with EPIC is required.
