Medical Assistant (MA-C)

Overview

This is a temporary to hire opportunity seeking a qualified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to join a primary care team. The ideal candidate will have experience in an adult outpatient clinic setting and be open to permanent placement after the contract period.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 5×8 hour days, 08:00 – 17:00, Monday to Friday (1-hour lunch)
• Years of Experience Required: A minimum of 6 months working as a Medical Assistant in an adult outpatient clinic is required. Experience in a pediatric outpatient setting or private physician’s office may also be considered.
• Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Floating: No floating required
• Transportation: Reliable personal transportation is required; public transportation is not acceptable.

Responsibilities

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for supporting health care providers in delivering quality patient care. Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Assisting with patient examinations and procedures
• Administering medications and vaccinations as directed by healthcare providers
• Performing basic laboratory tests and assisting with patient follow-ups
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with regulations
• Documenting patient information accurately in the EMR system (EPIC experience required)

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification (MA-C) is required.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is a must.
• Must have no restrictions in availability and be open to permanent employment following the contract period.

Additional Information

Candidates should confirm availability with the hiring manager regarding restricted time off (RTO) considerations. The facility reserves the right to call off up to one shift per pay period.
