Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with experience in Long Term Care (LTC) to join our team. As a PTA, you will work under the direction of licensed physical therapists to provide valuable therapeutic services to patients.

Job Responsibilities

• Administer treatments and therapeutic interventions including exercise, massage, gait, and balance training.
• Monitor and document patients’ progress toward their rehabilitation goals.
• Collaborate with physical therapists to develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide support and encouragement to patients through their recovery processes.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare team members regarding patient status and treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in a Long Term Care setting.
• Current Texas or compact physical therapist assistant license.

Work Schedule

This position requires 8-hour workdays with guaranteed 40 hours per week. There are no weekend or on-call requirements.

Expectations

Therapy professionals are expected to actively manage their caseload to meet productivity expectations while being onsite and available to work. Communication with facility leadership regarding any barriers to completing treatment is essential.
