Registered Nurse (RN)

As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Registered Nurse (RN) delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and best practices. This role involves supervising and directing various levels of nursing staff and coordinating care with other healthcare disciplines while applying critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making.

Job Summary

The RN is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care, ensuring patient safety, developing care plans, and collaborating effectively with patients, families, and team members in a healing environment.

Essential Functions

• Collects relevant health data and analyzes it to determine care needs and diagnoses.
• Develops and implements care plans that prescribe interventions to achieve desired patient outcomes.
• Evaluates patient progress and modifies care plans as necessary to meet changing health requirements.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure clear communication and coordinated care.
• Provides education and support to patients and families regarding health information and treatment plans.
• Engages in discharge planning to support continuity of care after patients leave the care environment.
• Delegates appropriate tasks and coordinates duties among the healthcare team members.
• Performs additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred.
• Experience in an acute care setting: Preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required.
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required.
