Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise across a variety of patient age groups, including neonates, infants, and adults, and will be responsible for a comprehensive range of maternal and neonatal care processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform antepartum care and procedures including sterile exams, non-stress tests, and triage of obstetrical patients.
• Manage labor and delivery processes, assist in high-risk deliveries, and provide postpartum care.
• Deliver neonatal care during delivery, including the assessment of APGAR scores and neonatal resuscitation.
• Administer medications such as anticoagulants and antihypertensives, and provide IV therapy as required.
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and respond to emergency situations, including cardiac arrests for both adults and neonates.
• Provide education and support to parents regarding newborn care, including breastfeeding and circumcision care.

Qualifications

• Required certifications: BLS and NRP.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong proficiency in communication skills, particularly using the SBAR method.
• Ability to float within the scope of practice as needed.

Work Environment

This position involves a range of settings including antepartum, labor and delivery recovery, Level 1 nursery, low-risk, and mother/baby care.

Support Services

Staff will have access to various provider support services including interpretation, pharmacy, phlebotomy, physical therapy, rapid response teams, social services, and unit secretarial support.

Additional Skills

• Experience in pain management techniques, including the administration of epidural and anesthetic services.
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and vaccine administration.
