CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CVOR Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in scrubbing cardiovascular cases and possess a strong background in Level I Trauma settings. This role requires a commitment to patient care and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in cardiovascular surgical cases including heart and lung transplants, aortic dissections, and ECMO procedures.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care and optimal surgical outcomes.
• Participate in on-call rotations, approximately 100 hours over six weeks, including one on-call weekend every six weeks.
• Float to other operating room specialties as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years nursing experience required.
• First-time candidates are welcome if they have Level I Trauma experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Pending nursing licenses are accepted; candidates must have an Indiana, compact, or Indiana temporary license prior to starting.

Work Schedule

The position includes a combination of 8-hour and 10-hour shifts, with guaranteed hours of 40 hours in one workweek, or potential 12-hour shifts totaling 36 to 48 hours, depending on scheduling needs.

• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.

About the Facility

This role is located within a short-term acute care facility with a total of 194 to 210 staffed beds, providing a variety of services and maintaining an average daily census of 70-80 patients. Our team uses Cerner for charting, ensuring efficient information management.
