Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in surgical settings. This role requires specialized experience in Orthopedic and Neurological operations in a high-paced environment. The RN will be expected to work collaboratively with a healthcare team to ensure effective and safe patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Assist in the preparation and management of the operating room and surgical tools.
• Monitor vital signs and manage anesthesia as required.
• Maintain a sterile environment during surgical procedures.
• Coordinate with surgeons and other medical staff to ensure successful surgical outcomes.

Work Schedule

The position requires flexibility with both weekend and weekday on-call duties. The RN will work four ten-hour shifts and take call every fourth to fifth weekend, along with one weeknight on-call duty.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting.
• Experience in Orthopedic and Neurological surgery is required.
• Current ACLS and BLS/BCLS certifications.

Additional Requirements

• Holiday coverage is expected as part of the role.
• Must meet performance expectations as determined by management.
