Anesthesia Technician (Allied)

The Anesthesia Technician plays a vital role in the anesthesia department by ensuring the preparation and setup of necessary equipment and supplies for various anesthetizing locations. This position involves the routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment, ensuring a clean environment, and managing supply levels effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up appropriate equipment and supplies for anesthesia procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of anesthesia equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the anesthetic environment.
• Monitor and maintain supply levels for the anesthesia department.
• Assist in handling and delivering pharmaceuticals under the supervision of a pharmacist.

Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.
• Certified Anesthesia Technologist (ASATT) certification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an Anesthesia Technician.
• Current AHA BLS certification.

Additional Information:

Applicants must be flexible to work during the winter holiday season, which includes a requirement to work on 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve).
