Urology Medical Assistant (MA-C or MA-R)

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity within a procedural heavy outpatient clinic setting specializing in urology. Candidates must be available to float between multiple locations and demonstrate a commitment to the potential for permanent employment following the contract period.

Schedule

The expected schedule for this position is as follows:

• 4 days a week: 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM
• 1 half day a week: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (this day will alternate depending on the MD’s operating room schedule)
• Floating requirement to another clinic location on Mondays

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs for patients
• Prepare for exams by recording patient history, medications, and allergies
• Assist with procedures including cystoscopy, prostate biopsy, and bladder scans, while maintaining a sterile field
• Label specimens accurately
• Room patients efficiently

Required Skills and Experience

• 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) or Medical Assistant-Registered (MA-R) in an outpatient clinic setting, preferred in procedural specialties such as urology, otolaryngology, or dermatology
• Experience with specific equipment, including Trophon, Ultrasound Biopsy machine, and Bladder Scanner is ideal
• Ability to manage patient flow efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and professionalism when interacting with patients and staff

• Reliable transportation is required (public transportation is not acceptable)
• No additional scheduling restrictions should be present
