CVOR Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced CVOR RN to join our team. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in cardiovascular operating room nursing and who thrive in a fast-paced academic environment.

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: Days 4×10 (0645-1715) with cardiac call obligation
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: May be called off during low census without charge or placed on-call in 4-hour increments up to 1 shift’s worth of hours in a 2-week cycle.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the cardiovascular operating room.
• Assist in various surgical procedures, including orthopedic sports, minimally invasive arthroscopic and laparoscopic cases, and robotics, among others.
• Manage patient populations including general, GYN, URO, and plastic surgeries.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team in a busy, high-acuity environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in CVOR nursing required; first-timers accepted.
• Certifications: Current BLS certification required.
• Floating: May float to other specialties within the hospital during slow periods; no floating to sister hospitals.
• Patient Population Experience: Experience with neuro, spine, thoracic, and vascular cases is a plus.

Additional Information

• Weekend Requirements: As needed basis.
• RTO Restrictions: Maximum of 1 week.
• Scrub Color: Any color; scrubs provided for OR personnel.
• Charting System: EPIC
• Parking Costs: $10.26 daily.
• Ave Daily Census: 50-75 patients with 28 available rooms.
