Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical/Telemetry

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry settings. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and the ability to manage telemetry patients effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and perform O2 protocol.
• Administer medications and manage cardiac drips as required.
• Activate rapid response team when necessary and participate in emergency interventions.
• Ensure proper isolation precautions and PPE usage as required.
• Document patient care accurately using computerized systems.
• Manage peripheral line care and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification through AHA is mandatory.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience within the last 3 years in Medical Surgical, Telemetry, or Progressive Care Unit settings. Experience in neurotrauma stepdown is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage telemetry patients and interpret cardiac rhythms.
• Experience with IV starts is preferred.
• Willingness to float between units as necessary to meet facility needs.
• Open to local candidates and those with pending licenses.

Work Schedule

Shift options include 12-hour night shifts. Weekend requirements may include working every other weekend but not guaranteed.

• Clinician will be expected to float within scope to meet facility needs, including to other locations if necessary.
• Guaranteed hours are based on selected shift options.
