Registered Nurse – Neuro Stepdown

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Neuro Stepdown to join our healthcare team. The RN will provide high-quality patient care in a progressive care unit environment, ensuring that each patient receives the necessary monitoring and support during their recovery process.

Shift Details

This position requires working three 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. The nurse will be expected to rotate working at least every other holiday.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to patients in the Neuro Stepdown unit.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and neurological status.
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families about post-discharge care and community resources.
• Participate in ongoing education and training programs to maintain competencies.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in the specialty.
• Experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is preferred but not mandatory.
• MUST possess a permanent Ohio license or a compact state license.
• Current AHA or American Red Cross certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.
• Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate during orientation, with acceptable scores necessary for continued employment.
