Acute Travel RN: PCU

We are seeking an experienced Acute Travel RN for a Progressive Care Unit. This position requires specialized experience in Cardiac Cath.

Position Overview

• Unit Type: Tele / PCU
• Trauma Level: 1
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other, depending on staffing needs
• Call Requirements: Not required

Patient Care Responsibilities

The Acute Travel RN will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in a cardiac setting, managing a variety of cardiac conditions, and administering treatments as required. Common diagnoses include:

• Chest Pain
• Myocardial Infarction
• Open Heart Surgery Recovery
• Watchman Procedures
• TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement)
• Postoperative Cardiac Catheterization
• Postoperative Pacemaker Management

Qualifications

• Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac care experience, with a minimum of 2 years preferred
• Certifications: BLS required
• Education: Registered Nurse (RN)

Additional Information

The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude and demonstrate a commitment to patient care. Familiarity with EPIC electronic health record (EHR) is preferred.

Dress Code

Scrub attire is acceptable; however, hoodies are not permitted. Nose studs are allowed for piercings, while other piercings are not permitted.

All candidates must complete necessary screenings prior to the start date. Orientation takes place weekly on Mondays.
