Surgical Support Aide

Shift Information

This position requires working night shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. For orientation, the initial three weeks will be on the day shift from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM to facilitate familiarization with the unit.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide support in the surgical process by assisting with lifting heavy items and transporting patients.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper turnover of surgical rooms.
• Maintain safety protocols and standards within the surgical environment.
• Assist surgical staff as needed in various tasks to ensure efficient workflow.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Surgical Support Technician I or 2 years of experience in a Lead capacity.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience is required.
• A high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.

Candidate must be able to meet the physical demands of the role, which include lifting heavy items and moving patients as needed.
