School Social Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to provide support to high school students. The role involves working closely with students who have Cognitive Impairments (CI), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and those requiring resource assistance. The School Social Worker will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a positive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 30-40 students across two high schools.
• Provide individualized support and interventions for students with varying needs.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and special education staff to implement effective strategies.
• Conduct assessments and develop tailored intervention plans for students.
• Facilitate communication between students, families, and school staff.
• Assist in crisis intervention and provide counseling services as needed.
• Support the social-emotional development of students within the school setting.

Shift and Schedule

This position operates on a day shift schedule from 7:20 AM to 2:25 PM, five days a week.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or equivalent qualifications.
• Valid state licensure and credentials as a School Social Worker.
• Experience working in educational settings, preferably with high school students.
• Strong understanding of special education law and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated skills in crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
