Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract opportunity. This role will provide care in the LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) unit, ensuring that mothers and their newborns receive the highest level of care during their birthing experience.

Shift Information

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Shift Hours: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the LDRP unit, focusing on labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and vital signs, responding promptly to any emergencies.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Float within scope to meet hospital needs as required.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Kansas State or a Compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in postpartum nursing required.
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate-Fetal Heart Monitoring, BLS, NRP; STABLE certification preferred.
• First-timers accepted.
