Special Procedures Technologist

Job Summary

The Special Procedures Technologist will provide technical expertise in a clinical setting, performing advanced diagnostic imaging procedures. This role requires specialized knowledge and experience in Cath Lab technology to support the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Maintain and operate imaging equipment proficiently.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in on-call duties as scheduled, including weeknights and weekends.
• Assist in maintaining inventory and order necessary supplies.

Schedule

Day shifts are available with varying hours: 7am-5:30pm, 8am-6:30pm, or 9am-7:30pm.

Education and Work Experience

• Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology is preferred.
• Three years of technical experience is preferred.
• Experience as a Special Procedures Technologist is preferred.

Licenses and Certifications

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification is preferred.
• Radiologic Tech (RT) certification in the state of practice is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor per policies is required.
• Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification is required.
• Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification is required.
• Prevention and Management of Violent Behavior (PVMB) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or TEAM-A or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification is required.
