Medical Surgical/Tele Float Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Surgical/Tele Float Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in charge duties and cardiac step-down units, although this is not mandatory.

Position Overview

The position involves floating to multiple units, providing nursing care to a diverse patient population that may include ER boarded patients, telemetry, med-surg, and more. The nurse-to-patient ratio varies from 1:4 to 1:6 depending on the acuity of the unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Float between various units as needed to meet patient care demands.
• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients across different specialties.
• Manage staffing needs and bed flow in collaboration with other nursing staff on smaller units.
• Perform core charge nurse duties on designated small units, including coordination of patient care and staff support.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license for practice.
• Charge nurse experience is required.
• Experience providing nursing care in the United States is mandatory; Canadian experience alone is not sufficient.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, float capacity within various units.

Shift Information

This position offers 3×12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. Candidates must be available to start as soon as possible.

Charting System

Charting is conducted using EPIC systems.
