Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide comprehensive respiratory care services in a variety of settings. This position requires adherence to high standards of patient care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments, including ventilation management, airway management, and therapeutic interventions.
• Monitor and assess patients’ respiratory function and modify treatment plans accordingly.
• Provide education to patients and families regarding respiratory therapy and related medical conditions.
• Conduct pulmonary function tests and interpret results to guide treatment decisions.
• Document patient care services and maintain accurate medical records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.

Qualifications:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) is required.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP are required.
• A minimum of three years of full-time experience in all aspects of respiratory therapy, including at least two years in acute care settings for adults, children, and newborns.
• Experience in large medical centers (500+ beds, Level 1 Trauma Center) is preferred.

Additional Information:

• All licenses and certifications must remain valid throughout the duration of the contract.
• Requested time off during the initial contract period is limited to a maximum of 7 days.
• Compliance documentation must be completed no later than 10 days before the contract start date.
• Travel may involve floating to areas of equal or lesser acuity based on operational needs.
