Cath Lab Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of experience in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization lab. This position requires proficiency in various cardiac procedures and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Shift Details

• Shift: 4×12 Days (0630-1900)
• Weekend Requirements: 2-3 weekends per contract
• Call: Required as needed, with a rotating schedule among staff and agency

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT, RCIS required
• Active licensure is required; pending licenses not accepted
• No more than 5 days of RTO (Request Time Off) preferred

Required Skills and Experience

• Experience in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Proficient in skills including:
  • Cardiac Implant Closure Device
  • Cardiac Stent Placement
  • Diagnostic Catheterization (Adult)
  • IABP Placement/Removal
  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias
  • Left and Right Heart Catheterization
  • Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI)
  • Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA)
  • Rotablader Atherectomy
  • Scrub Procedures
• Experience in equipment setup and recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and sterile technique
• Age-specific competencies for Middle and Older Adult
• Cerner charting experience required

Work Environment

This position is within a Level I trauma center environment and involves working closely with a dedicated call team. Candidates will not be required to float outside their assigned area.
