Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Stepdown Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

• Day and Night rotating shifts: 7pm-7:30am / 7am-7:30pm
• Shifts may vary based on hospital operational needs; flexibility is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the stepdown unit.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Perform patient assessments and document care accurately.
• Float to other units as needed to provide care for a similar patient population.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in stepdown nursing.
• Active RN license in Ohio or a Compact state.
• Current AHA or American Red Cross certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Ability to work at least every other holiday.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation.
