Registered Nurse (RN) – Stepdown Neuro

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Stepdown Neuro unit. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients recovering from neurological conditions.

Shift Details

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Stepdown Neuro unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding medical conditions and treatments.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure integrated, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of full-time, permanent nursing experience in a relevant specialty.
• Experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is preferred but not mandatory.
• Active and valid Registered Nurse license in Ohio or a compact state.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS from AHA or American Red Cross.
• NIHSS certification is required.

Additional Requirements

• Travelers must be available to work at least every other holiday.
• Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation, with acceptable performance required.
