Surgical Technologist

Shift Information

10-hour shifts, varied days off, and potential weekends required. No on-call duties.

Minimum Experience Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent hospital experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Graduates of an accredited Operating Room Technician course are also eligible.

Certifications/Requirements

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Job Responsibilities

The role involves working in a Level II trauma center, primarily in the inpatient main operating room, with the possibility of floating to an outpatient Same Day Surgery center as needed. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in surgical procedures and ensuring a sterile environment.
• Preparing and organizing the operating room before surgery.
• Collaborating with surgical teams to ensure efficient operations.
• Adhering to safety protocols and hospital policies during procedures.

Additional Requirements

Candidates must be available for holiday coverage as required.
