Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

About the Position

This role is for a Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse, where you will be part of a new unit that is being built from the ground up. The shift consists of 3 twelve-hour days, from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, and you will be responsible for patient care with a ratio of 1 nurse to 6 patients. You are required to work every other weekend, as this is a non-negotiable aspect of the position.

Unit Details

• Unit consists of 18 beds, equipped with bedside monitors capable of telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry.
• The charge nurse responsibilities are shared between stepdown and 3 west units.
• Leadership is available during off-shift hours through phone contact.
• A house supervisor is present 24/7 for additional support.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry nursing.
• Current SC nursing license or a Compact license required prior to start.
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Experience in telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias is essential.
• Community hospital experience is preferred.

• Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all staff members may be called to respond to emergency situations.
• Scrubs are to be worn in royal blue, and charting is done using the Epic system.
