ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. This role involves providing intensive care to adult patients in a fast-paced hospital environment, utilizing advanced nursing skills and critical thinking in patient management.

Shift Details

• 12-Hour Day Shift: 07:00 – 19:30
• 36-hour or 48-hour shifts accepted
• Weekend coverage required: Every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to adult patients in the ICU setting.
• Monitor and interpret dysrhythmias, as well as manage patients with dysrhythmias.
• Utilize pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring techniques.
• Perform central line care and management.
• Initiate and manage IV access.
• Cater to the needs of ventilated patients, including ventilator management.
• Adhere to medication administration protocols using the Accudose system.
• Document patient information accurately using the Cerner system.
• Communicate effectively using the SBAR technique.
• Float between MS/Tele and Tele unit as needed, while maintaining scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of ICU experience required.
• Community hospital experience is essential.
• ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
• Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias.
• Experience in ventilator management and care of ventilated patients.
