Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a long-term care and skilled nursing facility. This role requires working both day and night shifts, with a schedule including every other weekend and holiday.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and best practices.
• Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical histories.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on health management, medication, and post-discharge care.

Shift Details

• Shifts: Primarily 12-hour shifts with some 8-hour shifts as needed.
• Shift Times: 6 PM – 6 AM and 6 AM – 6 PM.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
• Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Work Environment

This position is located within a facility featuring 51 beds. The nursing staff consists of two nurses per shift during the day and one overnight nurse. The common patient demographics include individuals with dementia and other geriatric-related conditions.

Orientation and Training

New hires will complete a 2-hour orientation with the leadership team, followed by 1 to 2 shifts with experienced staff members on the floor.
