House Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced House Supervisor to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and clinical expertise to manage patient care and support nursing staff across various units.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations on the inpatient unit, ensuring quality patient care is delivered efficiently.
• Supervise nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Coordinate patient flow and assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Monitor patient care standards and address any issues that arise.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of House Supervisor or RN Manager experience required.
• Must have Emergency Department (ED) experience.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Experience in handling patients with diagnoses including CHF, pneumonia, chest pain, syncope, diverticulitis, cellulitis, COPD, ETOH withdrawal, and opiate withdrawal is preferred.

Unit Details

• Average Daily Census: 19.
• Total Beds: 25.
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend.
• RN to patient ratio is 1:6 during the day and 1:7 at night, with support from LPNs for medication passes and ALC/swing bed assignments.
• Unit treats a variety of patient types, including detox, swing bed, and medical patients, with a focus on rehabilitation and wound care.

Working Environment

• Night shift: 3×12 hour shifts (19:00 – 07:00).
• No formal dress code; scrubs are required.
• Respiratory Therapy services are available Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 3 PM.
